Rostock is the largest city in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and lies at the mouth of the Warnow River on the Baltic Sea. Day 4 Akureyri, Iceland
Akureyri is a lively and energetic town and important port and fishing centre is nicknamed the Capital of North Iceland. Akureyri is great base for exploring the north's green pastures, fishing villages, mudpots, waterfalls, ski fields and whale-filled bays. The Northern Lights are one of the most spectacular shows on earth and can frequently be seen in Akureyri and surroundings from September through April on clear and crisp nights.

Ilulissat, formerly Jakobshavn or Jacobshaven is the municipal seat and largest town in western Greenland. The city is home to almost as many sled-dogs as people. Ilulissat is situated about 180 miles north of the Polar Circle. Therefore there is midnight sun from May 20th to July 20th. The winter darkness begin at the end of November until the sun returns on January 13th in this period we have the finest northern light in the world. Tourists can experience the midnight sun, the inland ice, gigantic icebergs and calving glaciers, whales, seals, sled-dogs, permafrost and the northern light.
