Day 0 Tromso, Norway

Tromso, a city in Norway, is a major cultural hub 350 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. It's famed as a viewing point for colorful Northern Lights, with a season that last from September throughout March. The city's historic center, on the island of Tromso, is distinguished by its centuries-old wooden houses. Here you find art, history, sophistication, good food and an infamous nightlife in a bustling, tiny city.

Day 1 Svolvaer, Norway

Svolvaer, located on the island of Austvagoya in the Lofoten archipelago is the administrative centre of Vagan Municipality in Nordland County, Norway. In this authentic town, the wooden drying racks are lined up next to one another, and the wharfs, warehouses and industrial buildings lend the area an extraordinary atmosphere. One of the highlights during the winter is the annual cod fishing festival. Lofoten is a group of islands located north of the Arctic Circle in the county of Nordland, Norway. With its postcard-looking small fishing villages nestled in fjords, dotting a very rugged coast with abrupt peaks rising directly from the ocean, the archipelago is often described as one of the most scenic parts of Norway. Svolvaer is located on the island of Austvagoya in the Lofoten archipelago.

Day 3 Olden, Norway

Olden is located at the mouth of the Oldeelva river at the northern end of the Oldedalen valley on the southern shore of the Nordfjorden. Olden is the gateway to the Briksdal Glacier (Briksdalsbreen), which has made it a popular cruise ship destination. Olden also has easy access to several other arms of this glacier, including Kjenndal and the Boyabreen.

Lerwick is the main port of the Shetland Islands, Scotland, located more than 100 miles off the north coast of mainland Scotland on the east coast of the Shetland Mainland. Torshavn is the capital and largest town of the Faroe Islands. Akureyri is a lively and energetic town and important port and fishing centre is nicknamed the Capital of North Iceland. Akureyri is great base for exploring the north's green pastures, fishing villages, mudpots, waterfalls, ski fields and whale-filled bays. The Northern Lights are one of the most spectacular shows on earth and can frequently be seen in Akureyri and surroundings from September through April on clear and crisp nights.
