Day 0 Oslo, Norway

Set on the banks of the Oslofjord, which is in fact a lake, not a fjord, Norwegian capital Oslo is one of the sparsest capital cities in Europe, despite being one of the largest in terms of size. Oslo has a special combination of city life and easy access to the great outdoors. This provides lots of space for nature to thrive in the very heart of the metropolis. Outdoor activities like kayaking, skiing, hiking and cycling are just as popular within the capital as they are in the countryside.

Day 1 Skagen, Denmark

Skagen is one of the sunniest places in Denmark, part artistic bohemia, part fishing industry and part natural beauty. The beaches are beautiful with white sand and the sea water is clear and inviting. Visit the inspiring museums and dwell at the world famous paintings by artists such as Michael and Anna Ancher and P.S. Kroyer.

Day 2 Kristiansand, Norway

Kristiansand is the largest city in Southern Norway and attracts a lot of tourists every year. Kristiansand is a family destinations, focusing in activities and attractions for families, one of the largest if these being Dyreparken, a gigantic zoo and amusement park. Kristiansand Dyrepark is probably the favourite holiday destination for Norwegian kids.

Day 3 Haugesund, Norway

Haugesund is a vibrant young city touting culture and arts festivals. Among them is the Norwegian International Film Festival or Sildajazz festival, with a mix of local and international artists. While it is possible to explore the city on foot, it may be beneficial to hire a car to see the surrounding area. Discover the Langfoss Waterfall or the Folgefonna Glacier to the north and the Preikestolen Mountains to the south.

Day 4 Molde, Norway

Molde is the administrative centre for the county of More and Romsda, Norway. Molde have various educational facilities as well as offering many cultural activities, including an international literature festival (Bjornson Festival) and the famous annual Molde International Jazz Festival.

Day 5 Kristiansund, Norway

Kristiansund N. is a city and municipality on the western coast of Norway in the Nordmore district of More og Romsdal county. Kristiansund N. is built on four main islands that are connected by a series of bridges. The city center is located at Kirkelandet and the surrounding islands form a natural harbor protecting it from the harsh whether conditions of the Norwegian Sea.

Day 6 Trondheim, Norway

Trondheim was Norway's first capital city, beautifully located by the wide Trondheim fjord in mid Norway. Trondheim is popular as both a cultural and shopping destination, the city's downtown core is scattered with quaint specialty shops as well as larger retailers around the pedestrian-only Nordre and Olav Tryggvasons gates.

Day 8 Kirkwall, Scotland

Kirkwall is the largest town and capital of the Orkney Islands of Scotland. The town has two museums, the larger being Tankerness House Museum, which contains items of local historical interest within one of Scotland's best-preserved sixteenth-century town-houses. At the heart of the town stands St. Magnus Cathedral, which was founded in memory of Saint Magnus Erlendsson, Earl of Orkney 1108-1117 by Earl (later Saint) Rognvald Kali.
