Day 0 Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam is a popular tourist destination for both new and returning visitors all year. Many cruise ships arriving in the Dutch capital berth at the unique premises of Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA). There is a fairytale quality to the tree-lined canal streets of Amsterdam. Boutiques, cafes, apartments, and hotels may hide behind the facades of the gabled townhouses, but the look of this beautiful old city has not changed much since its 17th-century Golden Age.

Day 2 Saint-Malo, France

Saint-Malo, beautiful city and port in Brittany on the Channel coast, curves out to sea on a stunning natural harbour that has created some of the best sandy beaches on the Emerald Coast. Rising out of the granite rock, St Malo is a maze of medieval streets bursting with history and culture. The legacy of the dastardly pirates of the 19th century and the siege during the Second World War entwines with the bustling array of arty shops and the delicious smells of oysters and crêpes from restaurants and outdoor markets and cafes. Special attraction is Saint-Malo Walls, where every gate, bastion and view has a story to tell.

Day 3 Brest, France

Brest, located in the region of Brittany, is one of the most animated harbor. Dramatic rocky coastline is more than 1000 km long. Brest is best known for sailing festival organized every four years - more than 2,000 traditional boats take part in the event, which is attended by nearly 700,000 spectators. Since everything is inspired by water, Brest has been the European capital of oceanography.

Day 4 La Rochelle, France

Known as La Ville Blanche (the White City), La Rochelle is one of France's foremost seaports from the 14th to 17th centuries. The focus of the town is the old harbour, a lovely part of the town and very picturesque with its two monumental towers (St Nicolas Tower and the Tower of the Chain) either side of the port entrance.

Day 5 Bordeaux, France

Bordeaux, hub of the famed wine-growing region, considered amongst the best in the world, is a port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. Explore Bordeaux's city center, St-Michel, and the Flêche St-Michel tower, one of the tallest medieval stone towers in France.

Day 7 Bilbao, Spain

No trip to Spain is complete without a visit to Bilbao, a city steeped in fascinating history and beautiful architecture. Many of the city's best known sights can be appreciated on a stroll around the cobbled lanes of Bilbao's Casco Viejo (Old Town). Guggenheim Museum has attracted millions of tourists to the Basque capital to see this truly spectacular monument.

Day 8 Ferrol, Spain

Ferrol is a city in the Province of A Coruña in Galicia, located on the Atlantic coast in north-western Spain. The Magdalena district, modernism, the arsenal, the naval museums, the old town (Ferrol Vello), San Felipe Castle and the estuary fortifications, its gastronomy, its natural surroundings, the estuary and its beaches, Holy Week (Semana Santa) and the festivals and traditions.

Day 9 Porto, Portugal

Porto offers everything, from a beautiful historic center, the iconic Douro river and nearby beaches. Porto historical centre contains a monumental and landscape richness where you can see several urban conceptual solutions varying from the medieval times to early modernity.

Day 10 Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon, Portugal's capital, is a fascinating and inspiring place spread over a string of seven hills north of the Tagus River. The most enjoyable activity while in the Alfama district is a ride on the number 28 tram, going through some of the oldest quarters and many tourist attractions.

Day 11 Cadiz, Spain

Cadiz is the oldest city in western civilization as well as the launching point for the adventures of Christopher Columbus in the New World. With a rich history going back millennia, Cadiz is one of Andalucia's most vibrant yet underrated cities with a charming almost-island old centre, originally fortified.

Day 12 Malaga, Spain

Malaga is a large city in the southern Spanish region of Andalucia and capital of the Malaga Province. The Malaga city offers beaches, hiking, architectural sites, art museums, excellent shopping and cuisine. Malaga has more museums than any other city in Andalucia, over 30, and new ones are opening all the time.

Day 14 Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is the capital and largest city of Catalonia. Architect and designer, Antoni Gaudi was at the forefront of the Art Nouveau movement in Spain. The infinite variety of street life, Gothic facades next to the harlequin buildings of the Modernistas make Barcelona's reputation of being the most cosmopolitan, modern and avant-garde city in Spain.
