Day 0 Hamburg, Germany

Straddling the Rive Elbe, Hamburg is Germany's second largest city and is affectionately known as the Gateway to the World, thanks to its rich maritime history and its privileged position as one of the premier sea ports in Europe. Day 2 Newhaven, England

Newhaven is a channel ferry port in East Sussex in England, with regular passenger services to Dieppe. It's got great pubs, cafés and restaurants, a clutch of little specialist shops. Its location can't be beaten, with easy access to Brighton, London, the South Downs, the Seven Sisters - and even France on the ferry. Nearby attractions include the beautiful Paradise Park botanical gardens & Dinosaur Trail, Seaford's Martello Tower and the Seven Sisters Country Park.

Day 4 Seydisfjordur, Iceland

Seydisfjordur, made up of multicoloured wooden houses and surrounded by snowcapped mountains and cascading waterfalls obscenely picturesque, is the most historically and architecturally interesting town in East Iceland. It's also a friendly place with an international community of artists, musicians, craftspeople and students. Every visitor will enjoy outdoor activities like walkng, hiking and biking and especially snowshoeing.

Day 5 Akureyri, Iceland

Akureyri is a lively and energetic town and important port and fishing centre is nicknamed the Capital of North Iceland. Akureyri is great base for exploring the north's green pastures, fishing villages, mudpots, waterfalls, ski fields and whale-filled bays. The Northern Lights are one of the most spectacular shows on earth and can frequently be seen in Akureyri and surroundings from September through April on clear and crisp nights.

Day 6 Isafjordur, Iceland

The port of Isafjordur is the largest of all harbours located in the Westfjords region of Iceland. Isafjordur has a range of accommodation, restaurants and recreation for all budgets and tastes. A golf course, hiking- and biking trails, horse riding, bird watching, skiing and kayaking are all within an easy reach.

Day 7 Grundarfjordur, Iceland

Grundarfjordur is a small town, situated in the north of the Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west of Iceland. It is situated between a mountain range and the sea. The town's main industries lie in fishing and fish processing. During summer, local Viking Association are building up a Viking "village" in the centre of town and Viking-age re-enactments are often the highlight of the day for cruise ship passengers.

Reykjavik, on the coast of Iceland, is the country's capital and largest city. It is the centre of culture and life of the Icelandic people as well as being one of the focal points of tourism in Iceland. For passengers spending time in the city there is a wide choice of museums, galleries, restaurants and cafes. Shooping is a must too and the ultimate relaxation experience is a trip to one of the city's thermal baths and pools.

Day 11 Kirkwall, Scotland

Kirkwall is the largest town and capital of the Orkney Islands of Scotland. The town has two museums, the larger being Tankerness House Museum, which contains items of local historical interest within one of Scotland's best-preserved sixteenth-century town-houses. At the heart of the town stands St. Magnus Cathedral, which was founded in memory of Saint Magnus Erlendsson, Earl of Orkney 1108-1117 by Earl (later Saint) Rognvald Kali.

Day 12 Invergordon, Scotland

Invergordon is a town and port in Easter Ross, in Ross and Cromarty, Highland, Scotland. Take a short walk into the town center and you'll find impressive murals, overflowing flowerboxes, small shops, cafes, banks, and friendly people happy to have a wee chat. Included in the attractions are Cawdor Castle, Dunrobin Castle, Brodie Castle, Loch Ness and its famous monster "Nessie", Fort George,Dornoch Cathedral, Culloden Battlefield, Falls of Shin Inverewe Gardens.
